Magnolia Boulevard is a five-piece rock-n-soul band from Lexington, Kentucky, formed in 2017 by singer and guitarist Maggie Noelle and keyboardist Ryan Allen. Their sound has been described as "Appalachian Soul": blues and soul at the foundation, folk in the songwriting, and songs and stories of the struggles of Appalachian people. On stage, Noelle's fiery vocals draw comparisons to Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt and Grace Potter. The band's debut EP, New Illusion (2020), was recorded, produced and mixed by Paul Reed Smith at Dragon Crossing Studio in Annapolis, MD. A run of singles and EPs followed, and in November 2025 the band released their self-titled debut full-length, eight songs produced and mixed by Kentucky producer Duane Lundy of Lexington Recording Company. They have shared stages with Blues Traveler, Marcus King, Neal Francis and North Mississippi Allstars. 2026 brought Dark Star Jubilee, an appearance on Mountain Stage in Charleston, WV, festival dates from The Redwood Ramble in California to Laurel Cove in Kentucky, a live session record for Sugarshack Sessions, and Soul Stuffing Friendsgiving, a live album cut at their annual hometown show at The Burl in Lexington. Fourteen more dates follow through January 2027.
